Patrick T. Tamm
Patrick Tamm is the founder of Tamm Capital Group, an association management and government affairs firm focused on achieving results for client interests.
As a public policy and association management professional, he leads in the intersection of policy, politics, and media. In addition to managing statewide trade associations in all facets of their organization’s mission, he also serves as the government affairs advisor for multiple clients. As a registered lobbyist, Patrick focuses on issue management, procurement strategies, and government affairs on behalf of businesses, trade associations, and not-for profit organizations.
Patrick holds a diverse background that includes developing business for a national construction management firm, leading a civil engineering firm, and serving as a multi-client lobbyist for the largest law firm in Indiana as well as a boutique government affairs firm. This experience has taught him professionalism, tenacity and attention to detail that has played a crucial role in his clients’ success thus far. This diverse background also provides a keen understanding of both the private and public sectors and their interactions.
Patrick has represented clients from all levels of government where he has successfully advocated and defended trade associations, businesses and not-for-profits’ interests. He has also developed effective statewide grassroots organizations, media planning and strategy, procurement strategies as well as political action committees for numerous interests.
He has represented clients in a broad range of matters including taxation, regulatory schemes, hospitality industry, alcohol, financial services, engineering, children issues, agriculture, tourism, technology, gaming and labor and employment issues. His government affairs work has been recognized by the International Association of Hotel Association Executives as the governmental affairs program of the year. Other awards have included the “Best Governmental Affairs Campaign” by the Indiana Society of Association Executives.
Earlier in Patrick’s career he managed a congressional campaign, served as the executive director for the then Indianapolis Mayor’s political committee and worked for the Indiana Republican State Committee as assistant to the chairman. Active in the Republican Party, he previously served as a volunteer advisor to the Mitch Daniels for Governor campaign regarding political strategy in the eight counties immediately surrounding Indianapolis. In addition, he has previously served as a Republican analyst for WISH TV, the former Indianapolis CBS affiliate.
Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University where he studied political science and sociology.
